Ambassadors

Your path: Stakeholders | Ambassadors

Over time, a number of people have become involved and skilled in the development and management of the Kangaroo Island TOMM. These people are an asset that should, wherever possible, continue to be involved. A Memorandum of Understanding has been prepared so that these valuable people continue to be involved.

The objective of TOMM Ambassadors is to:

  • Freely provide feedback and advice on the KI TOMM, as requested by the KI TOMM Committee and Project Manager
  • Provide strategic assistance on high priority TOMM projects, as requested by the KI TOMM Committee
  • Promote the TOMM concept and KI application of the TOMM across professional networks as a means of increasing support for the model, and to extend its introduction to other places (acknowledging KI as the original application)
  • Assist to build an international network of organisations that understand TOMM

The KI TOMM Committee recognises the value and contributions of Advisors, and the need to provide mutual benefit for their ongoing commitment.

Current TOMM Ambassadors include:

Elizabeth Jack - Centre of Sustainable Tourism

Elizabeth Jack - Director of the Centre of Sustainable Tourism (www.sustainabletourism.com.au) was contracted to implement the stage two of the TOMM project and encourage local ownership of the concept.  Liz Jack is retained as an advisor to the ongoing evolution of TOMM, and continues to promote and support the TOMM process amongst her networks, as well as providing support to the Project Manager.
